This design studio focuses on the aesthetic and functional issues related to the creation of freestanding furniture, and primarily on exploring the process of design transposed into production. Special attention is given to anthropometric and ergonomic considerations, as well as the fabrication materials and construction methods. Students produce prototype scale model and full-scale furniture. This course focuses on building with sustainable materials using sustainable practices.
